Rachelle Mackintosh is a multi-award-winning writer, photographer and producer specialising in wildlife and expedition travel, and is endorsed by the Australian Society of Travel Writers. Since beginning her career in the 1990s she’s explored every continent and ocean, discovering wild places and faces to tell their stories. When she’s not ogling tigers, bears, penguins and elephants through her viewfinder, you’ll find her on a boat befriending whales and seabirds, or experiencing different cultures in remote communities.
And as you’ll see in the thumbnails below, her most recent work has appeared in The Sunday Telegraph; Signature Luxury Travel & Style; Australian Geographic (books); The Sydney Morning Herald; Escape.com.au; Vacations & Travel; Qantas magazine, and Better Homes and Gardens. Before going freelance in 2020, she worked on staff for Seven West Media, Australian Consolidated Press, Pacific Magazines and Are Media, honing her skills on titles like Travel Week, The Great Outdoors, Women’s Health, Who, Cosmopolitan, New Idea and the Australasian Post.
