Far East Wildlife

Rachelle’s first wildlife-specific magazine travel assignment was in 2003 to Borneo, where she discovered orang-utans, Asian elephants and a menagerie of critters in some of the world’s most pristine jungle – and she was instantly smitten. Not long afterwards, she had wildlife adventures across Asia and Siberia in Russia’s vast Far East, and made the first of several trips to India to find tigers in their natural habitat. Here, she discovered the wild wonderland of Madhya Pradesh – home to Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Panna and Pench National Parks, and some of the world’s most revered big cats.
