Rachelle’s first visit to Africa – a solo trip to Namibia – was so instantly addictive that two months later she went back to explore Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia. In the years since, assignments have taken her to Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa and Kenya several times, with each adventure fuelling her passion for the continent’s jaw-dropping wildlife and its resilient, innovative people. Highlights include anti-poaching patrols with the Black Mambas; tracking cheetahs, chimpanzees, gorillas, hyenas and elephants on foot; cage-diving with sharks, and bush camping across Uganda, the Serengeti, Maasai Mara, Tarangire and the Okavango Delta.
