Colombia is a top spot for wildlife photography, with dense rainforests filled with primates and birds; sprawling grass plains home to giant anteaters and llaneros; and coastal playgrounds where epic conservation programs are underway. Here, a handful of images from a recent assignment to report on the grassroots projects the TreadRight Foundation supports. Outside of Cartagena, Bogota and Medellin, these images show the Orinoquía region (where the Cunaguaro Foundation is researching and protecting giant anteaters); Bahia Solano, where Project Golfina supports Ridley Turtles; and San Juan Nepomuceno, where Proyecto Titi are bringing critically endangered cotton-top tamarins back from the brink of extinction.
