This young lady is in temporary care at the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre after she was found starving beside her mum's body. Now strong and healthy, she's almost ready to be released back into the wild so the HESC team are preparing her for that, giving her the very best chance of survival. The HESC team do amazing work and I was blown away by my visit there on Friday; check them out at @hesc_endangeredspeciescentre 💛 #meetsouthafrica
Just my mate Jabulani living his best life. This happy chappy lives in South Africa's stunning Kapama Reserve alongside not only a healthy wild population of eles, but also a herd rescued from the Zimbabwe tourist trade. Seeing these beauties enjoying the wild in spite of their rough start in life left me in awe, and I spent most of this conservation-focused trip hiding my gigantic feeeeeelings behind scratched sunnies. Lotsa South Africa spam coming your way so brace yerself! #meetsouthafrica
What a solid gold, 14 out of 10 day! I’m in Gansbaai, South Africa, and I snapped this pic about an hour ago (excuse the dodgy quality, it's from the back of my camera, just very excited/excitable). I’ve spent most of the day with great white sharks, southern right whales, humpback dolphins, penguins, cape fur seals, bronze whalers, a giant petrel, a sunfish and even a gigantor stingray. Can't wait to download all my pics! Hopefully my fist-pumping enthusiasm didn't make them all blurry!
Hey mates, happy Sunday! I'm heading off again today and probs won't have much Insta access for the next couple of weeks. While I'm gone please keep an eye on the Sydney humpies and tell them to save some of their energy for when I get back later this month! Looking forward to seeing all your pics then, too. Oh and this was somewhere between Bondi and Maroubra when the whales were northbound this season 🖤
